Julie leads with an evidence-based approach grounded in experience and data. Her confidence in the process helps athletes build trust, consistency, and long-term progress.
Whether you’re training for your first sprint triathlon, an Ironman, a gravel race like Unbound, or simply aiming to feel stronger and more capable in your body, I believe long-term success comes from sustainable training and an evidence-informed approach — especially as we age.
As both a coach and lifelong athlete, I understand how training changes in your 40s and beyond. Hormonal shifts, slower recovery, changing body composition, and increased life stress all matter. My role is to help you adapt your training — not fight your physiology — by building a rhythm that fits your life, supports recovery, and still allows you to perform at a high level.
I coach athletes across a wide range of abilities, from first-timers to World Championship qualifiers, with a growing focus on masters athletes who want to continue excelling over time. Pace matters far less than consistency, curiosity, and a willingness to train smarter. We prioritize quality over volume, recovery as a performance tool, and strength, fueling, and durability as key drivers of progress.
My coaching is grounded in both science and experience. I use data, proven training principles, and real-world feedback to guide decisions — while recognizing that every athlete is an individual, not a spreadsheet. The goal is not just to race well this season, but to stay healthy, resilient, and competitive for years to come.
I bring decades of lived experience to my coaching — including 18 Ironman finishes (8 in Kona), over 30 IRONMAN 70.3 races, and competitive gravel events like Belgian Waffle Ride, Sea Otter, and Unbound. Along the way, I’ve navigated injuries, DNFs, plateaus, breakthroughs, and the evolving demands of aging as an athlete. Those lessons shape how I coach today.
If you’re looking for a coach who blends evidence-based training with empathy, structure with flexibility, and ambition with longevity in mind, I’d love to work with you.
