No matter who you are or what you’re training for, I believe that you’ll get the most out of your training and your life if you’re all in. Most of us balance work, family, and countless other priorities on top of our endurance hobby, myself included. My approach is to guide my athletes to find the balance that works best for their lives, and then be 100% committed to each piece of the puzzle.
Athletes that work best with me have heart, soul, and grit. I’ll hold you accountable for your goals, mix in some tough love when it’s needed, and be fully supportive of your wildest dreams. I believe that each of us has a reservoir of untapped potential. Dreams that seem out of reach can turn into realistic goals once we have the course to ask, “what if…”
As an athlete, I have completed 16 Ironman races (6 of those being in Kona), 25 Ironman 70.3 races (with annual World Championship qualification), and many Olympic and Sprint distance races along the way. I love being in the trenches. I’ve experienced high level success, gut-wrenching failure, and everything in between. My passion comes from drawing on my experiences to be a better coach. I believe in a learning-by-doing approach. You have to be willing to step into the arena to find out what you’re made of. You have to be willing to fail in order to be ultimately successful.
In order to provide the most value, I request that my athletes communicate openly, that they are students of the sport, and that they are open to exploring new possibilities. Passion is what drives results. Refusing to settle is how we get to the next level.
