NYX News: June 2026

these are a few of our favorite things

This month we’re mixing it up and sharing some of our favorite training products, gadgets, and accessories. Because in triathlon, you can never have too much gear.

julie's 3 favorite things right now:

1. Garmin Varia RTL515 — Bike Radar & Tail Light

If you’re riding outside and you don’t have a Varia, stop reading this and go get one. It’s a radar and tail light in one — and it has genuinely changed the way I ride. You get an alert on your Garmin head unit every time a car is approaching from behind, so you’re never caught off guard on a fast descent or narrow road.

On solo training rides, gravel races, and long brick sessions, this is non-negotiable for me. It’s not just a safety device — it actually reduces mental fatigue because you’re not constantly checking over your shoulder. You can stay in the zone and let the radar do its job.

2. Silca Elettrico Ultimate Inflator

Fast, easy, and incredibly precise — this thing does it all. The Silca Elettrico reads your exact PSI so there’s zero guessing, which matters a lot when you’re dialing in tire pressure for different conditions or surfaces.

What I love most: no more CO2 cartridges. Whether I’m at home, at a race venue, or traveling, this inflator is compact enough to bring along and powerful enough to handle anything. It works on road, gravel, and MTB — one tool, every situation. If you’ve ever fumbled with a CO2 at 5am before a race, you know why this is a game-changer.

3. Cuore NYX Drop Bibs

Ladies — if you haven’t tried drop bibs yet, this is your sign. These are the NYX Endurance custom bibs from Cuore, and I will never go back to a regular kit. The drop-back design means you can answer nature’s call on a long ride without stripping off your entire top. On a 5-hour ride or a 200-mile gravel race, that is not a small thing. That is everything.

Great chamois, secure fit, and they stay put no matter how long you’re in the saddle. Functional, flattering, and NYX-approved. Enough said.

alison's favorite things:

1. Caterpy no-tie laces (also on Amazon)

I’ve tried them all, and these are the best. Easy to swap out and set up (cuz they’re not that different from normal shoe laces), and they are simultaneously snug when running and stretchy enough that it’s still easy to put on your shoes. Plus they come in a wide range of colors so it’s easy to match your shoes, your kit, or your mood.

2. Snake and pig goggles

Kinda strange name, but nothing strange about the goggles. Great field of vision, super comfy, and as leak- and fog-proof as you can reasonably expect from any pair of goggles. Plus NYX athletes and Mob members get a sponsor discount!

3. Feetures socks

Can you really have too many socks? Not when Feetures keeps coming out with new colors. Come for the style, stay for the incredible supportive hug they give the arch of your foot. Bonus points if you can find the ones in merino wool – nothing saves your feet from blisters like wool. Yes, even in the summer. Trust me.
